Pearson Education and EDUMETRIX Collaborate in $213M Deal
EIA members Pearson Education and EDUMETRIX recently announced Pearson’s $213 million acquisition of India-based online tutoring company TutorVista.com. John Stuppy, CEO of EDUMETRIX served as an advisor to TutorVista during its negotiations with Pearson, said, “This deal truly demonstrated that the internet and global teaching resources have met market needs and can deliver affordable, effective and convenient one-on-one online tutoring.” Before launching EDUMETRIX, Stuppy served as president of TutorVista.com as it achieved 825% compound annual growth and became a dominant brand in online tutoring.
